World Description:
Airy's world is very much like the real world, set in the year 2016. There are werewolves as well as other wer's, roughly 9 vampires left in the world, mages and a handful of other species and races. All of these races are hidden and called the Hidden because it's an easy to remember title. They were very hard to remain unseen in the world and do a good job of it. The war that is taking place is a fight to change that but any regular person wouldn't know what was going on.
History:

She never wanted very much: going to school, hanging out with her friends and eventually she had her eyes set on college. Her mother worked from home as a software engineer who was also known as being the energetic craft mom and a swing dance teacher on weekends. Her father worked at the local hardware store and loved sports and beer. Her younger brother was a nightmare, as younger brothers ought to be. He was into comics, specifically Green Lantern and Justice League, and was practicing to one day join the high school football.
Airy's best friend since childhood was her neighbor Mark. They grew up together and spent a lot of their childhood in each other's company. Her other best friend is Sara who Airy met her freshman year of high school. They got close after Sara and Mark started dating. Everything was relatively normal. After high school Airy took a year off before college; she had applications written up and sent out to a few key universities but she wasn't in a rush. She had a plan and she'd take her time but she was going to stick to it.
Airy is known as the Creator. It's someone who can create something out of nothing but only to the limit of her own imagination. Her powers first began to develop after she hit puberty; 14. Her desire to be normal dwarfed their effects making them harder to notice until she was older; 16. Her mother noticed around this time as did her best friend Mark however, any mention of something weird, Airy would deny. Most of her accidents were so fleeting that those who saw them assumed that it was all in their head or the ghost out of the corner of your eyes.
She was 19 when there was an accident that convinced her to leave home.
An accident, in which she severally hurt her best friend Mark, made her come to the conclusion that she was too dangerous. She ran away from home. Airy convinced herself that it'd be better if everyone forgot her and without knowing it she made the little town of Island Falls Maine forget that she ever existed. This made those living in the town unable to perceive pictures of Airy as well as things that were hers; such as her bed room door would appear as a wall to anyone looking at it. The only person this didn’t affect was a boy from her high school, Darren, who was eventually put under psychiatric study due to Airy's carelessness.
She ended up in New York City about a month later where she met a vampire in hiding named Antonio. Interested about her powers and her lack of control he offered to help her. She stays with Antonio, and his roommate Nathan, for a little over three months. During this time she's found by a radical group of super natural creatures known as the Hidden who are working to gather power so they can come out of hiding and take their place at the top of the top of the food chain.
The society of the Hidden works in tandem to the normal world. This is a world with monsters, vampires, werewolves and magic. It is a closely guarded secret that Airy was accidentally thrust into without much warning. She doesn't know very much about it due to her canon point however each race has its own background and story. Airy was drawn into this world due to her own powers earning her the title Creator. While she lived in New York, Airy had no idea that anyone is looking for her.
When she is found by this group, who I have affectionately named the evil-side, she is lured in by the boy from her high school; Darren.
As stated above, when Airy first ran away from home she convinced herself that it'd be better if no one knew she existed. By doing so she erased all evidence of herself from Island Falls Maine. This is the reason her family and friends didn't go looking for her after she ran away. However, when accidentally directed, her powers can't affect someone with a strong mind. Darren, who later learns that he's a mage, isn't affected and the small town condemns him for being 'crazy' whenever he talked about the Miller girl who disappeared. He blames Airy for ruining his life and is determined to ruin hers in return.
She is taken and tortured for the next month and a half while Nathan and Antonio are trying to find her. Please note that the below has the standard torture warnings, please don't continue reading if you are sensitive to mind alteration, abuse, physical mutilation, blood, etc.
Antonio's father, Amadeus, is the head of the evil-side that has taken residence within the state of New York. Amadeus hates humanity and the Creator and wants to see the world burn because of it. He is very short sighted in his goals. In order to use Airy Amadeus needs to break her. He summons a mind-bender named Taila to come and tear apart every thought she's ever had. Mind-benders are a race that are descents of the Fea and humans, there are many types though they are all very rare, Taila can specifically go into someone's mind and sort through it without difficulty.
While Airy is captive they have to control her Creator abilities. To do this they use a shock collar which is turned on at random times throughout the day and night. They also strictly control her eating and sleeping schedules. Her torture spans to about 6 weeks during this length of time she is bitten by a vampire, learning that her blood poisonous to vampires. Airy is also forced to swallow an acid that strips her throat and steals her voice. The whole process is painful at first and then numbing. It's reinforced that she's a mistake, someone who was never meant to exist, and she begins to believe it as Taila slowly breaks her down. Taila's goal involves going through every one of Airy's memories. Some are lost while others are buried.
While Airy is in captivity, Nathan and Antonio work tirelessly to find her. They discover the Headquarters of what constitutes the resistance against Amadeus. They believe that Amadeus's goal is to destroy a leyline, using Airy to complete this task. Leyline's are points of power through the planet. Within this canon they are like the planets veins.
For the first two weeks of Airy's capture she is able to imagine a bird flying around Nathan's head but Airy isn't able to give them more of a clue to where she is. They are only able to find her after she's been broken by Amadeus and he's moving her to the location of the leyline.
The leyline is located in a cave around upstate New York. A team from the resistance is sent to rescue Airy. This team consists of mages, two vampires, 1 werewolf and Nathan. As they arrive Nathan rushes inside before anyone else can follow him. He is able to find easily Airy at the center of the cave and rescue her. There are few casualties on the rescue team's side and after sorting out what happened the group takes Airy's unconscious body back to HQ.
Airy's healing process takes a little over a month. They heal her throat and her mind while placing shields around her head. Her first week after being healed she clings to Antonio. Nathan left when she was in a coma, during healing, to train and later joins the resistance over a year later. This is when Airy learns that there is a very hidden big war going on that the either world doesn't know about.
Finding comfort in HQ is difficult. People call Airy the Creator and treat her as if she's the answer to all of their problems. She doesn't like it, added to the fact that all of HQ is underground. It's too much to adjust too all at once. Shortly after healing, Airy leaves a note for Antonio and runs away. Except this time she's running back home where she believes that everything will be okay.
Airy managed to purchase a bus ticking using one of Antonio's credit cards and then slips away from HQ at dawn. The one werewolf living in HQ, the cook Gus, is the one who finds out Airy's plan and follows her. Airy doesn't know Gus except that he's affiliated with the resistance and an old friend of Nathans.
Gus convinced her to talk to him and he tells her that her family died after she had been captured. They agree to go see her home and then return to HQ. When Airy returns to her home she realizes how unstable her powers are and that she needs to master them or risk hurting others.
After Airy's runaway attempt she isn't allowed to leave HQ by herself. She ends up working in the kitchen with Gus a few mornings a week in between training with a handful of people who live in HQ. She learns about her powers though she doesn't actually know how to control them. She dates one of the guys there for about six months, using him as an emotional crutch through her healing process before admitting to him that she has no feelings for him beyond friendship. During her stay with this resistance she takes a trip to Rome and finds a tomb that details the life of the last Creator who in the Bible was known as Mary. A year passes in HQ before Nathan returns and Airy in that year, becomes a key member of the resistance.
Ainmhian is a weird world but somehow Airy managed to enter into a committed long term relationship with a man known as Cassidy. He kept her sane in the crazy fairy world but was also a bad influence. She spent most days in his drug den or was playing video games or hanging out with her dog, Daisy. He did help Airy become more comfortable with herself and she made some close friends along the way. She still blushes endlessly but she's more comfortable with who she is and she knows what she wants. She wants a life where she's in charge of where it goes. She wants to find love and she wants to find people who want to be part of her family.
Cassidy leaves Ainmhian and Airy is at a loss. She speaks to Thor who is her best friend and that is when they agree together to come to New Dodge to start over in a place that makes more sense than the fairy castle where they have been stuck.
Additional note: I have been speaking with the Thor player and we were planning this together. I know he mentioned it on his app too so I wanted to make that clear lol.
Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters? Airy spent long enough in Ainmhian to know that there are different versions of people. The only person who is a canon character who she is very close to is Thor from MCU who isn't currently in game and Brad and I had decided to move the characters over together. The only other people who Airy might know is Tulip or Jesse but only by hearsay because she knew/dated Cassidy. I plan to approach both of those players if Airy is accepted and ask if they want to thread with her since it's very easy to avoid. All of Airy's other close CR were OC's.
Why do you think your character would work in this setting? Yes. Airy wants to accept the offer and get away from the fairy castle because she doesn't really want to be there anyway. She'll be open to the setting and excited to start a new life and help out those who already lives there. She is excited.
How do you plan to expand their CR? I want Airy to heal and learn and possible detach from the more negative influences in her life. She'll be able to try new things (like different jobs) and meet new people who have different outlooks on life. She is very personable and I usually have to try not to tag everyone in game with her. It is easy to get her to talk to people. She's a bit like an eager puppy.
What will your character do for work? Airy will likely work in a few different places until she finds something that works for her. Likely a waitress or something both social and menial.
