Airy Miller: Dear phone, this is super lame but I have no where else private to write. ANYWAY, I met two guys today. We'll call them T and N. I know that's stupid but talking to myself via text isn't much better.

Airy Miller: I don't know what I'm doing but I'm staying with them...

Airy Miller: T is nice and he answers all my stupid questions but he's only awake at night.

Airy Miller: N... is really confusing me. It's a shame guys like that don't fall for girls like me.

Airy Miller: This is stupid I'm going to stop now. More so since T let me on his phone plan so I have the internet again.

Okay, it sounds like you need someone to cuddle to help you sleep and I actually don't mean anything dirty by that.

[ He probably needed to send another text to add something to that statement but it took him a few seconds longer than necessary. He used to have someone like that. Just not anymore. ]

I don't have time to sleep. I have things to do.

That makes no sense. Sleeping helps you think because when you don't sleep there are parts of your brain that are choked.

Remember that arm I was building? Working on it. That security system for Weiss? Working on it. An insurance policy of my own? Want to work on it. Like I said. No time.

My brain is fine. I'm a genius, remember? I operate at a higher level.

Your brain still needs sleep. What about getting help? Then you'll at least have someone to stay up all night with you?

I have help sometimes but it's usually easier to do stuff on my own. I don't have to mess around explaining things and I can't trust just anyone with this. So late hours, being alone? It's fine. It's what I've always done.

[ The only problem was that he didn't know who else to bother. Steve was out for obvious reasons and Bucky would undeniably get irritated even if he wasn't also out for the very same reasons. Hikaru had too much work to do without his bullshit; Terrance was someone he had to maintain some kind of balance with or else things might go sour; Savir probably still didn't know how to respond faster than once every fifteen minutes...

So, yeah, that's why it was always Airy. ]

Also now I want french fries so I'm running out anyway. I'll actually take your order this time if you have a preference.

[Airy shows up ten minutes later with a two coffee's, a coke, a bag of what smells like hamburgers and french fries and a smile. She taps the door with her elbow, unable to knock while holding so many things.]

Tony... Can you get the door?

[She wishes there was an easier way to carry food.]

[ She'd be there soon so he didn't bother to respond or move from where he'd been the entire time until he heard her at the door. He still felt a little bad that she was there but it shouldn't have surprised him that she'd be so willing. ]

Hold up. Coming.

[ He pushed himself up from where he'd been sitting and idly rubbed an eye with the back of his hand before reaching the door and pulling it open. ]

You didn't have to do this. Seriously. Did I say hi yet? I didn't. Hi.

[Airy releases a short laugh.]

Hi. Coffee and burger with fries.

[She hands over the coffee first, steals a few fries and then hands over the bag as well.]
