Airy Miller: Dear phone, this is super lame but I have no where else private to write. ANYWAY, I met two guys today. We'll call them T and N. I know that's stupid but talking to myself via text isn't much better.

Their home was a little slice of heaven, what with the quiet and idyllic surroundings, with Daisy snoozing on the porch or romping around the first floor. Since moving in, Cassidy had found himself increasingly content with spending time there, avoiding the castle and the city.

It was still easy for Airy to encourage him out-of-doors, for one reason or another — and sometimes, they still found themselves in the back of NeverLands, with its lava lamps and sticker-covered walls. Today, Cassidy had decided to treat them both to a sense-bending cocktail of crack cocaine, ecstasy, and heroin, all smoothed over with hits of a joint or two. It may have taken him a while to come around to the fact that Airy had a much stronger constitution than most women he'd known, but he wasn't scared of hurting her any more.

Plus, when Airy was stoned out of her gourd? Really cool shit tended to happen. As in reality bending around them. As in mind-blowing sex.

They were both already giddy on coke and E, and already down to their underthings. Airy was lying back and Cassidy was knelt over her, sliding the heroin needle into her arm and depressing the plunger, giving an almost instructive inhale — keep breathing.

"There..." He climbed onto her, settling his hips over hers, and started to tie himself off. He could give himself the shot. She could watch.

The moth tattoo on Cassidy's hand fluttered its wings, and his heart squeezed, sending the blood through his veins — and the drug with it, when the needle was pulled out and the rubber knot loosened from his bicep. It came undone with a snap. Cassidy let himself fall forward slowly, resting his forearms on either side of Airy's head, looking into her eyes. As he felt the effects settling in, a dopey smile developed on his lips.

"Are you not feelin' nothin'?" He examined her eyes — over the smile, his own eyes were strangely sharp. "I think your eyes say you're feelin' somethin'. Or you will, in a minute."

He slid sideways, until he was no longer lying over her, but next to her, one leg curled over hers, one arm stretched lazily across her torso. His mind wandered sideways over a few different tracks of thought.

"You ever think about the film Titanic, and how bollocks it is that Jack had to die? That door was big enough for both of 'em. Mythbusters did an episode on it."
