New York || Day 1
Dec. 11th, 2015 09:23 pm[Running is the current plan but it isn't going well. She's constantly getting lost and she's reminded again and again that she's never been out of her small town alone. She misses her family and her friends but more than that she is really missing a warm bed. Her feet continue forward, the tall buildings towering on either side of her. It's impressive, as far as cities go, but its to close together.
To much can go wrong.
She must of made a wrong turn because Airy finds herself walking along a very shady part of town. Winter is setting in but she thinks of warmth and she manages to keep herself heated. She has a backpack around her shoulders and it looks like she's wearing a uniform: white button down, green pleated skirt, black jacket and a matching tie. It's most definitely giving some of the people here the wrong idea.]
Shit.
[Airy whispers softly under her breath, a puff of white leaving her warm lips. When she spots two men pointing towards her she runs. Her feet fly across the street and she's about 75% sure they weren't following her. Mist descends on the area and Airy one again curses under her breath. She's only getting more lost at this rate and running around New York after midnight isn't on her to do list.]

The next morning
Date: 2016-01-12 04:46 pm (UTC)You're lucky you made it out of there. It's not a good part of town.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-12 04:59 pm (UTC)[Airy looks over at Nathan with a little bit of a smile. Even to her it sounds weird and it had been decided in an instant. She's glad that it wasn't some shady dealing to have her sold off or something like that.]
I've been told I'm lucky.
[Though that luck is bound to run out eventually.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 02:06 am (UTC)[He shakes his head.]
And you're lucky Tony found you.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 02:20 am (UTC)Tony? He doesn't seem the type to like nicknames?
[Carefully pulls the topic off her stupidity and oddities like following some stranger home.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 02:28 am (UTC)That doesn't mean I'm not.
[He grins.]
Speaking of, is Airy a nickname or are your parents hippies?
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 02:39 am (UTC)Nickname... sadly there aren't any hippies in my family.
[Unless you count her dad but he's an ex hippie and besides everyone during the draft did pot.]
My birth name is Airiana.
[She can't believe she just told him that.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 02:59 am (UTC)Airiana. I like it. It's pretty, and it suits you.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 03:04 am (UTC)I don't really like it. I prefer Airy.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 03:33 am (UTC)I get that. I don't like Nathaniel, either.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 03:42 am (UTC)[It isn't much of a nickname.]
Why not Nath or Nathy? Besides the fact that both of those sound really bad... never mind. Nathan is a cute name just stick with that.
[Smiles aren't suppose to look that cute.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 04:00 am (UTC)Those are awful! My mom called me Nate when I was a kid.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 04:03 am (UTC)[Airy laughs as she thinks of more rhythms.]
Sorry. I couldn't stop myself.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 04:36 am (UTC)Nathan is good. I like Nathan.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 04:44 am (UTC)[Airy smiles, lacing her fingers together in her lap. She looks out over the city watching as the sidewalks slowly move pass.]
Where is parking in New York?
[She really knows nothing about cities.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 05:53 pm (UTC)A lot of different places. You really don't have any idea how huge this city is, do you?
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-13 05:57 pm (UTC)I've never left home. I've seen it on maps.
[She just assumes everything is to squished together to have parking.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-14 01:26 am (UTC)On a map, huh? Well, we're heading to the green part.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-14 01:49 am (UTC)[Airy sounds amazed, like he just told her that gullible is written on the ceiling.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-14 04:39 pm (UTC)[He grins.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-14 05:06 pm (UTC)[She looks over at his grin and just stares.]
I didn't know cities had green areas or are we leaving the city?
[Airy hasn't really been looking out the window all that much.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-15 03:59 am (UTC)I'm talking about the section of the city colored green, but yeah. There are lots of green parts here, too. Central Park?
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-15 04:07 am (UTC)[She doesn't remember it looking all that green.]
Also I've never seen Central Park. [Airy holds up a finger as if making a point.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-15 05:12 am (UTC)[He nods.]
You've never heard anything about Central Park? It's big enough for a small amusement park and a zoo, plus there's a huge music venue there, and a park.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-15 01:43 pm (UTC)All of that? [She looks a little impressed and then a little sheepish.]
Do you think we can go there?
[She has no idea if they have time today but it would be fun to go to a zoo and an amusement park.]
Though it's probably really expensive.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-15 02:06 pm (UTC)Yeah, we can. How about after lunch?
