imaginationswoes | New York || Day 1

[Running is the current plan but it isn't going well. She's constantly getting lost and she's reminded again and again that she's never been out of her small town alone. She misses her family and her friends but more than that she is really missing a warm bed. Her feet continue forward, the tall buildings towering on either side of her. It's impressive, as far as cities go, but its to close together.

To much can go wrong.

She must of made a wrong turn because Airy finds herself walking along a very shady part of town. Winter is setting in but she thinks of warmth and she manages to keep herself heated. She has a backpack around her shoulders and it looks like she's wearing a uniform: white button down, green pleated skirt, black jacket and a matching tie. It's most definitely giving some of the people here the wrong idea.]

Shit.

[Airy whispers softly under her breath, a puff of white leaving her warm lips. When she spots two men pointing towards her she runs. Her feet fly across the street and she's about 75% sure they weren't following her. Mist descends on the area and Airy one again curses under her breath. She's only getting more lost at this rate and running around New York after midnight isn't on her to do list.]

[8 million sounds like a lot, more so considering how tiny the city itself seems to appear in comparison. It's incredibly misleading or maybe it's just because Airy's been looking at it wrong. She shrugs and follows close behind him with curious glances cast in every direction.]

What do you usually do on weekends?

[Airy asks lightly not wanting to take his days off from him. They step into the elevator and this is the part she remembers from the night before. She also can't help but wonder what car they are going to take or if they are walking there.]

[Her tone is almost wistful.]

I was watching Once Upon a Time before leaving home. What shows do you like?

[The elevator chimes softly and she steps out waiting for Nathan to lead the way.]

Uh... [He chuckles self-consciously.] Random stuff, all ironically.

[Airy holds up a single finger and points it at Nathan's chest.]

That! Doesn't answer my question. What random stuff?

[She steps outside of the front down and looks both ways.]

Which way are we going?

[Airy doesn't really want to talk about the future because she hasn't really decided what she's doing yet. The bandage on her arm suggests that she should go but she likes Nathan and neither him or Antonio seem to be upset by her abilities.]

Uh...Mythbusters, Finding Bigfoot. You know, random stuff. [Except the Finding Bigfoot is programmed in the DVR. She doesn't need to know that.]

[He points.] That way. [Toward the parking garage.] We have a couple bridges to cross to get to Soho.

[She raises her eyebrow at him before following towards the garage.]

Mythbusters is cool. What's Finding Bigfoot? Oh! Do you ever watch Chopped?

[She really misses TV and its only been a month or so since she's been without it.]

Mythbusters is awesome. Finding Bigfoot is about this group of people who...look, it's self-explanatory.

[He thinks for a moment.]

Yeah, I've seen it before, but I never watch it regularly. It's pretty intense.

[Airy just laughs though she wonders how entertaining a show called Finding Bigfoot can be. It's safe to say her curiosity is now peaked.]

[She smiles as she follows beside him.]

Chopped is intense and its hard to watch when your hungry.

Oh, it's happening. It's completely a gimmick. They can't even hide it. The main guy's name is Matt Moneymaker.

[He laughs as they arrive at the car. It's nothing fancy, though it's parked next to the fancy car Antonio brought her home in last night. It's maroon, a little Honda. But it's clean and there aren't any dings in the paint.]

Your car, Madam.

...and all cooking shows are hard to watch when you're hungry.

Moneymaker?

[Airy raises an eyebrow at Nathan. That doesn't sound like a name though she is still willing to watch the show. Maybe later tonight after they run out of things to do.

She smiles when he gestures to the car and then opens the passenger door to slip inside.]

You know what they say about Honda drivers right?

[She can't help but smile to herself as she settles in comfortably.]

[Airy laughs softly. She doesn't remember who used to say it but she had a friend who always told her that those who drive Hondas were awful drivers and that Honda Civic drivers were even worse.

She clips her seat belt across her center and waits for Nathan. She's also noticed that there are two types of people when it comes to cars. Those who get in and out of cars quickly, which is what Airy prefered, and then those who took their time to make sure everything is situated before even turning the car off.

It doesn't really make much sense to her.]

So where in New York are we going? Last night I was... somewhere north I think.

He nodded as he climbed in the driver's side.]

[Nathan might be gay considering she just watch him perform a scene from Hairspray but she isn't one to judge.]

I'm sure I will. It'll be interesting to see anything in New York that isn't a shady alley way.

[As he starts the car she tries to clear her mind or think of rain. It's okay to rain outside after all and it keeps her thoughts occupied.]

[Airy looks over at Nathan with a little bit of a smile. Even to her it sounds weird and it had been decided in an instant. She's glad that it wasn't some shady dealing to have her sold off or something like that.]

I've been told I'm lucky.

[Though that luck is bound to run out eventually.]

[Airy raises an eyebrow watching as Nathan keeps his eyes on the road. (hopefully) She's staring at his smile and before she can stop herself she responds.]

Nickname... sadly there aren't any hippies in my family.

[Unless you count her dad but he's an ex hippie and besides everyone during the draft did pot.]

[She can't believe she just told him that.]

Why not Nath or Nathy? Besides the fact that both of those sound really bad... never mind. Nathan is a cute name just stick with that.
