New York || Day 1
Dec. 11th, 2015 09:23 pm[Running is the current plan but it isn't going well. She's constantly getting lost and she's reminded again and again that she's never been out of her small town alone. She misses her family and her friends but more than that she is really missing a warm bed. Her feet continue forward, the tall buildings towering on either side of her. It's impressive, as far as cities go, but its to close together.
To much can go wrong.
She must of made a wrong turn because Airy finds herself walking along a very shady part of town. Winter is setting in but she thinks of warmth and she manages to keep herself heated. She has a backpack around her shoulders and it looks like she's wearing a uniform: white button down, green pleated skirt, black jacket and a matching tie. It's most definitely giving some of the people here the wrong idea.]
Shit.
[Airy whispers softly under her breath, a puff of white leaving her warm lips. When she spots two men pointing towards her she runs. Her feet fly across the street and she's about 75% sure they weren't following her. Mist descends on the area and Airy one again curses under her breath. She's only getting more lost at this rate and running around New York after midnight isn't on her to do list.]

The next morning
Date: 2015-12-27 06:09 am (UTC)It already stings.
[She swallows trying to steel herself from what comes next. Her free hand clamps against the edge of the counter as she braces herself. She doesn't want to scream but she is a normal girl and it's used to this kind of pain.]
I'm ready.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-28 03:54 am (UTC)The next morning
Date: 2015-12-28 04:05 am (UTC)This really sucks.]
Can't you work faster? Please?
[Her tone is soft as if she's begging him to make it stop hurting.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-29 04:06 am (UTC)[He does his best, though.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-29 04:30 am (UTC)It feels like my arm is on fire.
[She really isn't used to pain.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-29 04:10 pm (UTC)I know. It'll be over soon, though.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-29 04:17 pm (UTC)Each movement of his fingers cause emotions to push higher. Her heartbeat frantically keeping a quick rhythm in her chest while the burning trails up to her shoulder and then down to her fingertips. Airy slowly begins to chant beneath her breath trying to control herself as he finished bandaging her arm.]
Cool... it's cold. Rain... not fire.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 01:43 am (UTC)In the apartment.
Shit.]
Airy, hey. Look. Airy, it's raining.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 02:09 am (UTC)W-what?
[It feels like cold daggers against her skin and she looks over at Nathan.]
Sorry...again.
[Except this time she doesn't feel to bad because she can at least cry about her arm without him noticing.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 02:35 am (UTC)The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 02:40 am (UTC)Slowly the rain began to stop and Airy leans against the counter feeling herself drained. She's still wet but the floor is dry. It's hard to imagine yourself not wet when you feel it against your skin.]
It's gone.
[Her voice is soft and she looks down at her arm where Nathan had bandaged her bite. There are little specs of red that bleed to the outside of it but not as much as she thought there would be.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 07:42 am (UTC)The next morning
Date: 2015-12-30 12:50 pm (UTC)Airy looks around still feeling like a drowned rat. She pushes long strands of dark brown from her sight before looking over at Nathan with bright green eyes. She spares a single glance towards her backpack but it is fine.]
Can I have a towel?
[It's winter and she hadn't been able to dry herself off. As neat as it was to watch beads of water collect over her skin she's starting to get cold.]
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 03:06 am (UTC)So...why'd the rain stop but...you're still wet?
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 03:30 am (UTC)[Airy holds out her hand and grabs the towel before attempting to dry her hair.]
It's hard to imagine myself as dry when I feel wet.
[Technically she should be able to make her wound vanish to. She peeks out from under the towel looking up the stairs.]
I didn't wake him... right?
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 03:50 am (UTC)[That made perfect sense, really, about the wet.]
Are you going to be okay?
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 10:33 am (UTC)[Airy pauses in her attempts to dry herself and looks up at Nathan.]
It's just water.
[Except it's also winter outside. Airy shift suddenly feeling uncomfortable.]
You don't happen to have anything I can borrow to wear do you? [Like if some random girl left a perfectly fine set of clothes over who happens to be Airy sized.] I only have one other set of clothes and it's dirty.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 08:27 pm (UTC)[It'll be his, but it's better than nothing, right? He heads upstairs to retrieve the shirt and he isn't gone long, bringing back a "Celebrate Broadway" t-shirt in gray.]
I hope this helps.
The next morning
Date: 2015-12-31 09:15 pm (UTC)She is in the bathroom for five minutes before she steps out in Nathan's shirt and a dark green short plaid skirt. It's the last of her clothing with both undershirts, her over shirt and her shorts now dirty or ruined. She fidgets nervously with her wet clothes wrapped up in the towel so she doesn't get wet.
Wearing Nathan's shirt means she can't stop smelling him which is strange; at least he smells nice.]
You don't have a laundry machine up here do you?
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-02 05:20 am (UTC)We're pretty good at self-sufficiency around here.
[He watched her as she moved. There was something about seeing a girl wearing your clothes that made a man feel good about himself, and she didn't look back in it, either.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-03 12:50 am (UTC)Her thin fingers lightly pull at the hem of the shirt she's borrowing.]
You're machine has a lot of buttons. Does it have a delicate cycle?
[Since everything is in there, including the stained ripped white shirt, she wants to make sure it's washed but not destroyed.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-03 03:47 pm (UTC)Yeah, here. Let me show you.
[To reach the washer, he had to lean close enough she could feel his warm breath on her neck.]
It's here.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-03 05:13 pm (UTC)She leans forward slightly and clicks the button that he's indicated.]
Got it.
[There is a slight pause before she turns to look up at Nathan. He's standing... very close.]
I don't need to do anything else right?
[Stupid new washing machines.]
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-05 04:42 am (UTC)Nope. It distributes the detergent for you and everything. Pretty fancy, right? [He chuckles.] Antonio just hates doing laundry. [And he shrugs.] We both do.
The next morning
Date: 2016-01-05 01:01 pm (UTC)Very fancy. [She agrees with a soft laugh.] I never thought I'd see the stereotypical guys hate doing laundry thing.
[Personally Airy has no opinion of it, it's something you did and she likes being clean.]
